Kundapur: “JDS’s unity is my aim, for this I will fight till my last breath. Development of a state can be done only if regional political parties are present. So, each state needs regional parties, for the overall development,” said former PM and JDS national President H D Devegowda.
After visiting the Kollur Shree Mookambika Temple on Friday, he was addressing the media personnel.
“Inter-state disputes are not easy to solve. Similarly Cauvery dispute also. I have been the part of Cauvery disputes since 1964. First of all we should understand the stand of Centre. AIDMK and DMK are backed by Centre. To solve the inter-state issues there is a need of regional parties,” he said.
He further said that even Netravati-diversion project and Mahadayi project is also unscientific. Bursting with anger will not give any solution for a cause. A solution can be derived by holding meetings and discussions.
Commenting on surgical attack of Indian army on POK, he said “I haven’t conducted such operations during my tenure as PM. If such actions are announced publically, then the people will get excited and excitement may cross the limits. So, such operations are always kept confidential,” he added.
JDS leaders Sabladi Majayya Shetty, Srikanth Adiga, Masoor Ibrahim, Dakshat Shetty and others were present.
