Mangaluru: “A meeting will be held to discuss about the Yettinahole project. The project was started after the expert’s opinion that there is more than 24 TMC water,” said CM Siddaramiah.
He was addressing the press personnel at Mangaluru airport on Sunday, after he received a traditional pili vesha welcome. Before he could leave to Puttur to lay foundation stone for Veterinary College he was speaking to the reporters.
“We are not diverting Netravati river. People have wrong notions regarding the project. The project is just focusing on lifting the rain water not the actual flow. There is no problem to any people from this project,” he said.
Commenting on Cauvery issue he said that hopefully we are waiting for the justice. An expert’s team will be arriving to the state to study the ground realities of the Cuvery basin area. Based on the report a verdict will be announced by the SC on October 18.
Speaking about his son’s entry to the politics he said “After I lost my elder son I have asked my younger son to look after the constituency when I won’t be there. I am not promoting him to the politics. He is a doctor by profession and I have asked to spare a day in a week for the people of my constituency,” he added.
“Is introducing my son as son is an offense? Which law states that?” he questioned.
