A colorful procession was held from Jyothi Circle to Nehru maidan. Kannada Bhuvaneshwari and other traditions and culture tableaux attracted to mark Kannada Rajyotsava procession.
speaking after unfurling the flag, he stressed the need to protect the tradition and culture and language of this great land called Karnataka. We should respect Kannada language with our regionallanguage. Every Kannadiga need to protect our state language, he appealed.
Ksheera Bhagya scheme of the government has benefitted 2.39 lakh children. while Endosulfan victims have received a compensation of Rs 32 lakhs during the current year.
The Minister conferred district level Rajyotsava Awards to as many as 22 achievers on the occasion.
Progressive farmer Prabhakar Maiyya, Suribailu Government School Development Committee member S.M. Aboobacker and Yakshagana artiste B. Seetarama Tolpadittaya are among the 22 peeople confered with district Rajyotsava awards.
While Mr. Maiyya is being conferred the award for this contribution in field of agriculture, Mr. Aboobacker and Mr. Tolpadittaya are being honored for their contribution in the fields of education and yakshagana respectively.

Jagadishchandra Anchan (sports), Yogish Kumar (social service), Brahmashri Narayanaguru Seva Sangha, Sasihithlu (social service), Swastik Kala Kendra, Jalligudde (social service), Sharadamba Bhajana Mandali, Panja (social service), Jagadish Shetty (yoga) and Hameed Koornadka (visual media).
