Moodbidire: The ability to decide and choose wisely and rightly is often a matter of intelligence. Every decision involves a certain amount of risk and it would be pertinent to keep in mind that a decision-making process means repeatedly proving one’s ability, said Dr Ravi N Margasahayam, International Space Station Safety (Ret), VIP Tour Guide and International Public Speaker, NASA.
He was speaking in guest talk organized by Alva’s Education Foundation of ‘’Rostrum’’ The speakers’ Club, on ‘Creating masters: Shaping today’s youth into tomorrow’s leaders’, at AIET Seminar Hall, on Friday.
‘Creating a Master is something that cannot be taught, it is an extraordinary, transformative, and profound journey of life. A master is a person who has attained a level of skills that goes beyond techniques. He added and said, one shouldn’t be afraid to make wrong decisions and fear to failure. Lessons learnt from a failure can make even failures successful’. Inquisitiveness, courageousness, innovativeness, creativity, willingness and voracious appetite for knowledge are the key traits required for a master, he said.
He said, ‘NASA had build relationships beyond the boundaries with 20000 contractors across America. It has become role model for space Exploration. Quoting Stephan Hawkins cautioning words, he said exploring more about space will be better option in front of us to release pressure on the earth. Praising the contribution of ISRO, he said ISRO is raising equally potential to NASA in terms of innovations and achievements’. He called upon students to make their future in space programs that can be considered to real contribution to this mankind.
Later in the interaction session, he cleared many doubts of the students regarding space station.
