Bangalore: Speaker K.G.Bopaiah carried out the legislature proceedings deftly today, amidst continuous interruptions from an opposition demanding CM’s resignation on land scams and other scandals facing the government, such as nepotism.
The speaker reserved his ruling on an alleged leakage of a report by Joint House Committee to the press by MLA Appachu Ranjan from Kodagu, even before the report was placed on the table of House. S.P.Patil moved the privilege motion against leakage of the report on the opposition groups behaviour as on Nov.30 last year.
The protest of opposition MLAs was in its 4th day, although the speaker asked the dissatisfied MLAs to take their seats, to take up business of the day (today).
Congress leader Siddaramaiah urged the House to be in order as per the Parliamentary norms of democracy.
