Sullia: MP Nalin Kumar Kateel visited the Kodimbala railway station and discussed with the Railway Station Abhivridhi Horata Samiti members, on Friday.
Samiti members urged the along with the development of the railway station express trains should be stopped here. After the construction of Bengaluru – Mangaluru broad gage the station is suffering without any basic facilities. There is no proper drinking water, ticket counter and rest room for the passengers.
“After the development of the train track, the platform and the track are parallel to each other. It is causing trouble to the passengers to board the train. More than ten villagers are dependent on this railway station. So, express trains should be stopped here,” they said.
Replying to this MP Nalin said that as the memorandum submitted by the samiti members, railway officials have visited the spot. Soon the problems will be brought to the notice of concerned authorities.
“Modi led government functioning in a speedy way. Already lot of developmental works have been done and many are pending. This issue will be sorted out very soon,” he said.
Sullia MLA S Angara, BJP sistrict President Sanjeev Matandoor, Venkat Valalambe, Harish Kanjipili and others were present.
