Mangaluru: “To celebrate the prosperous tradition and diversity of Tulunadu, ‘Vishwa Tuluvere Ayano – 2016’ will be organized from December 9 to 13 at Badiadka in Kasargod district,” said President of Vishwa Tuluvere Ayano, Sarvotham Shetty.

Speaking to the reporters on Monday at Press Club, he said that theme of the convention will be ‘Caste, sect, language and harmony of Tulunadu’. The convention will unite the people who speak various languages.

“Nearly 3 lakh people are expected to attend the five days convention. Entire programme will be emphasized on demand to include the Tulu language in the eighth schedule of Indian Constitution. Tulu Rathna award will be conferred to Dr U P Upadhyaya and Dr Amrut Someshwar for their valuable contribution to Tulu and multilingual literature,” he said.

He further said that Programmes of December 11 are exclusively dedicated to NRI Tuluvas. Predicted cost of the programme os Rs 2 crore and due to demonetization it has become hard to collect huge amount of money. He sought financial help from NRI Tuluvas.
