Mangaluru: “Indian cricket team former captain Mohammad Azaruddin will be inaugurating the Al-Mazain whitestone – MPL 20-20 cricket tournament on December 17 at B R Ambedkar ground near NMPT,” said Mangaluru Karnataka Regional Cricket Academy President Sirajuddhin.

Addressing the press reporters on Friday, he said that tournament will be held from December 17 to 30, between 12 teams. 30 Matches will be played in the league round and then in eliminator and knockout round 5 matches will be played.

“On December 17 at 4.30 pm Azaruddhin will be inaugurating the tournament. Al-Mazain businessman Zakaria Jokatte, Whitestone owner Janab Shareef and other delegates also will be gracing the occasion with their presence,” he said.

He further said that official matches will begin from December 18 and on 17 there will be a exhibition match between film actors and MPL organisers after the inauguration.

Convener Imtiyaz, Organiser Goutham Shetty, Arjun Kapikad and others were present.
