Kasargod: “In today’s social situations we should introspect our basic tradition and its origin. Worshiping the deities is the culture of this land. It has the power to unite people physically and mentally. As the people are losing their interest and faith in worships serious thinking about it should be done,” said Vishwa Tuluvere Aayano Deity Worship Committee Honourable President Brahmashree Kuntaru Raveesh Tantri.
He was speaking in symposium at Vishwa Tuluvere Aayano on the topic of ‘Daivaradhane – Kode, Ini, Yelle’ at Badiyadka on Saturday.
“Coastal region is famous for its unity in diversity. So, there is a need to put a strong foundation to save the culture of this land. Considering the celebrations, difference in opinion and changes in time we should protect our original tradition,” he said.
Paivalike royal dynasty king Rangathrai Ballal in his presidential speech said that royal dynasties have no importance in these days, but people still respect and love royal dynasties and that shows the tradition of this land.
“Religious practices should show its existence depending upon the necessity, then only we can expect peace in the society,” he added.
Kumbale king Raghuram Varma inaugurated the symposium.
Olvanadu Kolathari king Rakesh Raja Thamburan, Neeleshwara king Ravivarma, VIttal king Krishnayya Varma, Goutham Jain of Mulky dynasty and other kings of various dynasties along with other dignitaries were present.
