Mangaluru: People of Bendoorwell on Thursday witnessed a panicked situation by the negligence of a truck driver.

A parked truck moved backwards and demolished a motorbike. Truck was carrying tiles and it was parked in front a building. Tiles were not unloaded yet and driver had kept a stone behind the rear wheel of truck.

But the truck was parked in a slope area and when driver removed the stone truck moved backwards. Fortunately the steering wheel of truck was locked and it moved tilting on the left side. If the truck would have moved straight then it would have entered the road causing more damage. But here were only two vehicles at the parking place and the damage was minimal.

Later police cleared the spot using crane service.
