Mangaluru: Valedictory function of Security Awareness Week was held in MRPL on December 16. Chandra Sekhar, IPS, IGP and Commissioner of Police, Mangalore City participated in the program and gave the key note address. Speaking on the occasion he said that in security issues, every crisis situation is different and there is no readymade solution for every security problem.

He stressed on the requirement of standard operating procedures (SOP) and the necessity to follow it scrupulously. In PSUs like MRPL, the attention needs to be given to the immediate neighbourhood and also there is a need to have a good coordination with local police and state government officials, he pointed out.

Refinery Director M Venkatesh, Security General Manager B Ramesh Kumar were spoke on the occasion. The awards for ‘Best Security Person of the Year’ among the CISF personnel and the contract security agencies were presented. The prizes for the winners in quiz competition for the employees and DPS children were also distributed.
