Mangaluru: Two people have been arrested on Wednesday for raping a girl continuously for several days by locking in a house at Thokkottu.

Darwan D’Souza (42) and owner of the house Melwyn are arrested under POCSO Act.

Darwin brought the girl from Moodabidiri by promising her mother to provide education to her daughter. Later, he locked the girl in Melwyn’s home at Adamkudru, Thokkottu and raed her for deveral days.

Local people who came to know about the situation informed police and since then Darwan D’Souza was absconded. On Wednesday, when Darwan came back to Melwyn’s home he was arrested by the police.

Police have taken girl’s mother also into custody.
