Kundapur: A Head Constable of Kollur police station died due to heart attack on Wednesday at police quarters.

Ashok Kharvi (43) of Gangolli is the deceased person. He has survived by his wife Sumitra and two children.

After finishing his dinner on Tuesday he suddenly suffered of heart attack and he went to hospital at town and admitted there with the help of his neighbour policeman. At last he died after not responding to the treatment on Wednesday morning.

He had served 20 years of his life as a policeman in various police stations and he was well known for his sincerity and honesty.

DSP Praveen Nayak, Byndoor Circle Inspector Raghav Padil and other police personnel paid respect to his mortal remains at police station.
