Mangalore : After a week’s break, the cruise voyages from the city’s old port to the Lakshadweep Island have sailed.
The Union Minister for Overseas Indian Affairs Vyalar Ravi interfered in the matter and called the crew for discussions in Kochi on Friday, sources said.
After the discussion, the crew decided to call off the strike and continue their services.
Two ships MV Minicoy and Dweepsethu which have been stranded from past many days in the old Mangalore Port set sail giving a sigh of relief to the passengers.
