Kasargod: In a tragic incident four members of the same family lost their lives after a collision occurred between their car and a container lorry near Uppala during wee hours of Wednesday morning.

The deceased have been identified as Ram Narayanan (52) from Chelakkara in Trichur, his wife Vathsala (48), children Ranjth (20) and Nithin (24).

The car was traveling towards Mangalore from Trichur when it collided into the container coming from opposite direction on the National Highway near Uppala at about 4 am.

The bodies of the deceased have been shifted to Mangalpady Community Health Centre and a case has been registered with Manjeshwar police.
