Mangaluru: District youth JDS approached deputy commissioner to rectify the problems of Wenlock hospital. Youth JDS district President Akshith Suvarna in a press release said that the hospital is too old and the facilities are not enough to treat the patients of Kasargod, Kannur, Chikmagaluru, Kodagu, Udupi and Dakshina Kannada districts.
“Many people who will be in critical condition will arrive for treatment here in Wenlock Hospital. There are only 11 beds in emergency ward and the department staffs seems to be provoking the poor patients to get admitted in private hospitals,” he said.
He further said that immediately the number of beds should be increased as well as the staffs also. JDS also urged to install the equipments which are needed for kidney, heart and cancer related diseases.
“If the demands are not met then protests will be held,” warned Akshith.
A delegation of youth JDS met Deputy Commissioner Dr K G Jagadeesh and submitted a memorandum.
District Youth JDS Secretary Tejas Shetty, Faizal and others were present.
