Mangaluru: The newly built modernised concrete road from Kadri Temple mahadwara to the temple was inaugurated by district in-charge Minister Ramantah rai and MP Veerappa Moily on Saturday at Mallikatta.
Speaking on the occasion Verappa Moily said that Kadri is considered as a holy place throughout the country and all the facility must be provided here. The local corporator of here has worked hard to execute the road widening and concretisation work.
“It is highly modernised concrete road where underground drainage, electrical work, telephone network and all the other things have been planned and executed nicely. In future there will not be any problem with regard to the road,” he said.
MLA J R Lobo said that many tourists are being attracted towards the city as it is known as the fast developing city in the country.
“The government has provided Rs 75 lakh for the development of crematorium in Kadri. Road reaching to the crematorium has already been developed and the rest will be decided soon. All the facilities will be provided to the devotees who come here to visit the temple,” he added.
Chief Whip Ivan D’Souza, Kadali Math Swamiji Nairmalnathji, Corporator Ashok and others were present.
