Mangaluru: DYFI district committee staged protest in front of deputy commissioner’s office on Monday demanding to close gambling centres, skill game centres and illegal massage parlours.

Addressing the protestors DYFI district president Dayananda Shetty said that though protests are being intensified against skill game centres, many centres are open still now.

“Involvement of police personnel in these activities is the main reason behind the functioning of illegal activities. Followers of MLAs and BJP party workers are running these illegal businesses,” he alleged.

District Vice-President B K Imtiyaz said that many youth Congress members are running skill game centres. Youth Congress President Mithun Rai is trying to build Youth Congress team with the support of this type of people.

District DYFI Secretary Santhosh Bajal, SFI district President Nitin Kutthar, CITU leader Santhosh Shaktinagar and others were present.
