Mangaluru: “Fourth phase of land acquisition for MRPL will not be done forcefully,” said Minister for large and medium scale industries R V Deshpande.

He was speaking to the reporters after inaugurating the sliver front door at Kadri temple on Saturday.

“The government had passed circular for 1001 acre of land. It is noticed that farmers are opposing the land acquisition process. Farmers will be provided with proper compensation and no force will be done on them,” he said.

Further commenting on scam in 17 universities in Karnataka he said that already higher education Minister has given his statement on this issue. Truth will be come to lime light after the transparent probe. No one will be spared in the process.

He inaugurated the silver front door of worth Rs 24 lakh.

Former MLA Vijay Kimar Shetty, district KSP President Pradeep Kumar Kalkura and others were present.
