Mangaluru: “Country boat jetty at Bengre and large boat jetty Bolur will be constructed,” said MLA J R Lobo.

He was speaking after inaugurating camp for women fish sellers to operate the safety equipments organised by DK ZP fisheries department at department office on Saturday.

“As per the demands of fishermen mud from the dock are will be lifted at the cost of Rs 1 crore. Bridge to port, auction area renovation, renovation of fish market near statebank and under smart city project fisheries and old port area will be developed,” he said.

He distributed the feasibility papers to eligible fishermen and under the grants of deceased fishermen fund Rs 2 lakh were distributed.

Fisheries department Deputy Director Mahesh Kumar, Port department Joint Director Ganapathi Bhat and others were present.
