Manipal: The SCIO Foundation Group of Manipal will hold its fourth medical camp at Gram Panchayat Main hall, Kochhur, Barkur on February 5 from 9:00 am. Free checkup camp for diabetes, eyes, fall risk tests and ergonomic consultation tests will be held.
The camp will be held in association with diabetic foot clinic, department of occupational therapy and department of optometry, school of allied health sciences, Manipal. Registration will be on the spot and free medicines will be provided for the diagnosed diseases.
SCIO has successfully organized three medical camps till now in Malpe, Bramhavar and MIT, and has treated more than 700 people for various regular illnesses. These camps were held in association with the Department of Community Medicine, KMC, Diabetic foot clinic, Department of Occupational therapy and Department of Optometry, SOAHS.
SCIO Benevolent Foundation is an NGO registered under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs as a Section-25 company. The foundation aims at counseling students of secondary, higher schools as well as undergrads. They serve as a portal through which students have access to information about opportunities in every field of education. The foundation branches out to three sub-organizations, namely- Vidya, Veda and Vaidya.
