Mangaluru: A youth was stabbed to death on the spot near Maroli in Mangaluru city on Saturday late night.

The victim has been identified as Pratap (28), was working in Mysuru who arrived on leave to his hometown, Mangaluru.

It is said, around 10 activists of HJV followed him and attacked with machetes in the premises of a house at Niddel at around 1 am on Sunday.

His companion Manikanta, was also injured in the incident and has been undergoing treatment at a hospital here. Kankanady police have taken 6 people into their custody in connection with the case.

Kankanady police have registered a case.
