Kasaragod: Kerala police department has taken necessary security measures to prevent any traumatic condition in the district and state following brutal murder of Madrassa teacher Riyaz (34) on Monday midnight at Halechoori in Battampare near Kasaragod town. For the time being Kerala police doesn’t have any clue on the murderers and investigation is continuing in various angles, targeting various places in Kerala and Karnataka.
The police is keeping a close eye on the Kasaragod town and near by areas as the region is communal sensitive and communal clashes can occur at any time on minor issues. Meanwhile, a dawn to dusk bandh called by Muslim League in Kasaragod Assembly area limits completed on Tuesday. No vehicles including private, public transport moved on the roads following the harthal called by the party. Small clashes, stone pelting, lathi charge incidents occurred in Kasaragod town and nearby areas.
