Mangaluru : Krishnaprasad Uppinakote directorial Tulu film Rang Rangda Dibbana will hit the silver screens in Udupi and Dakshina Kannada districts in May.
Addressing press persons here on Monday, Sharath Kotian, producer of the film, said that the shooting of the movie was complete and the post-production work was on. The film revolved around a love story and intended to create awareness among the youth against the use of drugs.
It shows how college students suffer on account of not listening to their parents. Parents too should keep an eye on their children. It also has action and humour. The film was shot with a budget of Rs 80 lakh in the coastal districts, he added.
There are seven songs in the film. The audio CD of the film will be released by Vishwesha Tirtha Swami of Paryaya Pejawar Mutt here on March 23. Bollywood singers Udit Narayan and Javed Ali have also sung songs for the film. The music of the film is by S.P. Chandrakanth, while Sudhir Attavar, Vijaykumar Kodiabail, and Salim Puttur have written the lyrics.
Krishnaprasad Uppinakote has written screenplay and directed the film. Raviraj Shetty is the hero of the film, while Samhita Shah is the heroine. The other actors are Prashanth Samaga, Swati Bangera, Umesh Mijar, Raghavendra Rai, Dinesh Attavar, Ranjan Boloor, R.J. Rupesh, and Raghu Pandeshwar, Mr. Kotian said.
