Puttur: In an horrible road accident in Saudi Arabia on Friday three members of a same family from Puttur of Dakshina Kannada district were died when they were returning from Mecca after a pilgrimage by car.

The deceased has been identified as advocate Vazeer Ahmed (35), his 10-month-old son Iyaan Abdurrehman, and Vazeer’s sister Khamrunnisa (37). They hailed from Salmar in Puttur taluk.

The tyre of the four wheeler was unexpectedly blasted when the car was plying on the road at Tabuk near Mecca killing the three.

Khamrunnisa’s husband Abdul Jabbar sustained serious injuries and has been admitted in a hospital in Tabuk.
