Uppinangady : A woman died after suffering a cardiac arrest during her daughter’s wedding ceremony on Thursday at Uppinangady.

Varija was attending her daughter’s wedding and during the last ritual, she experienced some chest pains and collapsed. Though rushed to a private hospital in Uppinangady, she succumbed.

It is said that she had heart-related problems and was supposed to undergo surgery, but it was delayed due to financial constraints.

Varija’s is survived by her husband, two daughters and a son.
