Karkala : A food hunting leopard attacked a cow as well as a man in the early hours on Wednesday May 31 at Mallibettu in Ninjoor village.

Valerian D’Souza (53) suffered grievous injuries in leopard attack. He rushed to the government hospital at Ajjarkad Udupi, after he was admitted into KMC Hospital Manipal.

The leopard, came at the cattle shed belonging to Appi Poojarthi, and tried to eat a cow but Valerian D’Souza tried to save the cow.

The forest department Officials arrived the spot and took away the leopard which was also injured
