Mangaluru : The Mangaluru South Police arrested two persons in connection with the theft of an ATM card and withdrawing a sum of Rs 3,59,000 using the card.

According to the police, the arrested are Fathima (28) and her husband Selvam (31). Both hail from Vellore in Tamil Nadu. The police have recovered Rs 2,20,000 and a 20-gram gold chain purchased using the money withdrawn. The ATM card belongs to Joyce (70), a resident of Britto Lane in Falnir.

Police Inspector Belliappa and team under the guidance of City Police Commissioner investigated the case.
