Mangaluru : A day after student assulted near Adyar Katte, the CCB police have arrested three persons in connection to the incident on July 9.

The arrested have been identified as Nitin Poojary (21) son of Satish Poojary from Arkula, Farangipet, Pranesh (20) son of Madava Poojary from Kejuru House, Adyar Katte and Kishan Poojary (22) son of Sudhir Poojary from Kandevu house, Padil.

Nitin Poojary and Pranesh works by proffesion electriciation, Kishan Poojary works as a carprnter. On July 7 At around 4:15 pm, Naufal along with his roommate Mohammed Sajid were on their way back home in bike KA 19Y-8437 to Bithupade after having tea in a hotel at Adyar Katte. On the way three youth stopped them and requested petrol saying that their bike was not starting. When one of the youth charged at Naufal to attack him, Naufal managed to escape. They then assaulted Sajid and fled from the spot on their two wheeler.

Sajid who was injuierd in the incident rushed to a hospital in highland where he is now recovering. Nithin and Pranesh are involved in various crimes and cases have been registered against them the Mangaluru Rural police station.The CCB police arrested the accused and recovered the two-wheeler which was used for the crime.

The operation conducted under guidance of Police Commissioner TR Suresh, DCP Law and order Shantharaju, DCP Crime and traffic Sudheer and ACP CCRB Valentine D’Souza the operation was carried out by the CCB inspector Sunil Nayak, PSI Shyam Sunder and team.
