Puttur: Well-known traditional Ayurveda healer, folk medicine expert PS Venkatrama Daithota passed away at his residence in Panaje of Puttur taluk on Friday. Daithota belongs to traditional practitioners of Ayurveda, folk medicine family in Panaje. He left his engineering career in 1977 to serve people as a traditional Ayurvedic healer in his native village, Panaje.

He served lakhs of people to cure their diseases, ill health for the last four decades. He has given number of presentations at schools, colleges for the benefit of the general public. Even if in the present era of commercialization, he served his patients at free of cost following the footprints of his rich family tradition as folk medicine experts.
