Mangaluru : The State Government has appointed DK District in-charge Minister B Ramanatha Rai as the State Home Minister on Tuesday evening as an unofficial announcement.

It is said, Rai accepted the responsibility of handling the home portfolio, which he was earlier in the same cadastre. The Home Minister’s post had remained vacant ever since Dr G Parameshwar who was earlier holding the portfolio was made to continue as KPCC Chief.

After the communal clashes in his constituency , Now Rai have the more responsibility to handle situation as he received the home portfolio.

The formal announcement of appointing Rai as Home Minister will be announced at today’s cabinet meeting.
