Ullal: At least 8 cars have been damaged and One injured as unidentified miscreants attacked the vehicles parked near a private hospital here in Deralakatte on Tuesday night for unknown reason. The police suspect local ganja addicts might have attacked the vehicles and investigation is in progress based on the complaints filed by the owners of the cars and injured, Ghalib Hussain. The injured person was reportedly sleeping in his vehicle when the incident took place.

Unidentified culprits wearing masks damaged the vehicles parked and managed to escape from the spot soon after their act. The locals also suspect that ganja addicts might have responsible for the attack as a group of addicts has been involved in small robbery, theft cases in Deralakatte area for some time.

The hospital locality is also crowded with patients and their relatives every day and such a crowded condition helps the miscreants to remain active in the area, the residents in Deralakatte said. Police cases have been registered on the incident at Ullal station.
