Mangaluru: An auto rickshaw  driver on his way to Ullal from Mangaluru jumped off the River Netrivati Bridge and ended his life during afternoon hours of October 5. The auto driver has been identified as Basheer Ahammed, a resident of Kodical in Mangaluru who suddenly stopped his vehicle and instantly jumped off the bridge.

In another incident at around 9.30am, an unidentified person jumped into River Nandini near Sashihitlu. A girl saw the person jumping into the river from the bridge informed others, who in turn informed police. Expert swimmers and fire brigade have rushed to the spot and search is on.
