Mangalore : MP Nalin Kumar Kateel inaugurated a newly built Bala Bhavan building and children’s train at Kadri Park organized by the State Bala Bhavan Society, Bangalore in association with District Bala Bhavan Committee, Mangalore and Women and Child Welfare Department, DK Zilla Panchayath on Jan 31, Monday.
Speaking after inaugurating the building, Nalin Kumar Kateel said that, the talented children of the district have given an opportunity to showcase their talent. The new train has been started in the Kardri park and the State government has sanctioned the amount of Rs 40 lakhs for the project.
Presiding over the event, Deputy Speaker and MLA N Yogesh Bhat said that around 9 satte level little talents are been selected for the national level Bala Prathibha award. Further the state governemtn and private organization must identify such talents and feliciatet them to encourage their spirit.
The amount of Rs 3 lakh was spent on the project. The donors have come forward to set up a science park at Kadri, he added.
Mayor Rajani Dugganna, B Nagaraj Shetty, chairman of Coastal Development Authority, Pradeep Kumar Kalkura, president of Kannda Sahitya Parishat, Roopa D Bangera, ZP CEO Shivashankar and Dr K N Vijayaprakash, MCC Commissioner were present.
