Mangaluru: Union ministers Ananth Kumar, minister for chemicals and fertilizers and parliamentary affairs, and Ananth Kumar Hegde, minister for skill development was inaugurated Mudra Promotion Campaign at Town Hall on Monday, October 16.
Union ministers Ananth Kumar and Ananth Kumar Hegde distributed Mudra Yojana cheques to the beneficiaries on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Ananth Kumar, Union Minister for Chemicals and Fertilizers congratulated Dakshina Kannada MP Nalin Kumar Kateel for his efforts to develop his constituencies as one of the most developed regions in the country. The minister added, Nalin is the only MP out of 545 MPs to get the highest centre government’s fund of Rs 17,000 crore for his parliamentary constituency.
Ananth Kumar further noted, “A total of 8.4 crore people including youths have already been benefited by Mudra Yojana in the country and Karnataka stands first in utilizing the facility with highest number of beneficiaries in the country.”
MP Nalin Kumar Kateel presided over the programme.
Modi government has established three major programmes like Make in India, Skill India and Mudra Schemes. Dakshina Kannada district has welcomed these plans in a positive manner and thus it stands number one in utilizing prime minister’s major projects.”
