Mangaluru: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will undertake his second visit to Dakshina Kannada district in less than two weeks when he arrives here on November 4.
Unlike the last visit on October 22 when he spent the entire day in the district inaugurating and laying the foundation stone for various development projects in Bantwal followed by a visit to Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala, the visit on Saturday will be a whirlwind tour for just an hour as per the official itinerary. CM Siddaramaiah is coming on a special request from Mayor Kavitha Sanil to inaugurate the two-day national level open Karate tournament organized by Self Defence School of Indian Karate. CM will land at Mangaluru International Airport in the city on a special plane from HAL airport in Bengaluru at 9.50am and head straight for Nehru Maidan – the tournament venue. He will inaugurate the meet at 10.30am and head back to the airport at 11 am.
Siddaramaiah will board a helicopter at MIA en route Shravanabelagola in Channarayapatna taluk in Hassan district and reach there at 12.20pm. There, he will review ongoing preparations for the Mahamastakabhisheka 2018 celebrations by chairing a high powered review meeting from 12.30pm. He will leave for Bengaluru from Shravanabelagola helipad at 3.30pm and reach HAL airport at 4.25pm, a communique from CMs office stated.
