Mangalore : Deputy Commissioner and Assistant Executive Engineer of PWD Department, Mangalore Sub-Division has issued the notice to dislocate Sri Vitoba Rukhumayi Mandir located at Bajpe administered by GSB Seva Samithi, said K Sudhakar Kamath, Secretary of the Samithi.
Speaking at the press meet organized by Hindu Janajagruthi Samithi at Hotel Woodlands on Feb 2, Wednesday said that
The Mandir was constructed in the year 1975 by the GSB Seva Samithi and registered with Registrar of Societies in 1982. The temple was renovated in 1997 after obtaining license from Bajpe Gram Panchayath, and as per the RTC records even its compound belong to the Samithi, he said.
Even though the samiti have submitted all the relevant documents of the Mandir to Deputy Commissioner and PWD Engineer on January 12 2011, the notice were still issued to dislocate on January 22, he informed. Hence he urged the authorities to drop the name of Sri Vitoba Rukhumayi Mandir from the demolition list.
