Kundapur : In a broad daylight  a thief stolen gold jewellery from PWD quarters here and arrested within two hours on Saturday, November 25.

The arrested accused is Kumbhashi resident Harish Acharya (46).

It is said, Harish who broke the house door of Ravi, a employ of PWD quarters when nobody in the house, filch the jewellery and fled away from the back door of the house.

After returning the hospital Ravi’s wife Prema noticed the thievery  and immediately complained to the police.  It is suspected that the theft has taken place at about 2.30 pm.

The suspect was arrested within two hours  in Kundapur market..

Police inspector Manjappa, crime PSI Devaraj, PSI Harish and staff participated in the operation and they have recovered the jewellery.

Harish Acharya is being questioned at Kundapur police station.
