Kundapur: Seafood delicacies, folk artistes, swings and horse rides on the last day of the year 2017 created cherishing moments for people at the ‘Oor Mani Habba’ on Kinar beach in Beejadi, Kundapur, on Sunday.
Children, accompanied by the elders, played to their heart’s content in the sea, enjoyed boat riding and clicked lots of photos to preserve their memories.
Riding on ATV bike made people walk down the memory lane and experience the deja-vu moment.
The Oor Mani Habba that was organised on Saturday and Sunday, aimed towards introducing the local language and culture of Kundapur, with an exhibition of different types of agricultural equipment- ‘muttale’, ‘hadi mancha’, ‘hullu sudi’ and so on.
MLA Haladi Srinivas Shetty enjoyed a ride on the old Lambi auto-rickshaw, which was one of the major attractions for people from those ages.
Sand art, kite shows, cultural events, games, amusement park and stalls of various items, kept the children busy.
‘Oor Mani Habba’ committee President Bailuru Uday Kumar Shetty said that the rousing reception has encouraged the organisers to conduct more of such events. Plans are on to organise programmes to introduce various tourist destinations to the whole world.
