Mangaluru: Food and Civil Supplies Minister UT Khader has expressed his gratitude for the Center’s proposal to cancel the subsidy given to Haj pilgrimage.
A subsidized government of Haj pilgrims Speaking to reporters in Mangalore, he said Air India had benefited from Haj subsidy and the subsidiaries were forced to travel by Air India and other flights could go to Haj for less than that.
The Haj subsidy was in some respite, but pilgrims going to Hajj did not wait for the government subsidy, but said that the government should not try to empower one class through this decision.
