Mangaluru: CPI leader p. Senior CPI leader Vishwanath Nayak, who was admitted to a hospital in Shakin, died at the hospital on Monday night.
Senior leader of the Communist movement P. Sanjeeva died yesterday morning. Vishwanath Nayak (75) was admitted to a private hospital due to his illness. But the treatment was not effective but died yesterday.
P. Sanjeeva and Vishwanath Nayak have been involved in the communist movement for decades and have worked hard to resolve issues of farmers and workers. Vishwanath Nayak was in the fight for land reform. Thus he was attacked by landowners.
Two leaders were actively involved in the Beedi labor movement. Vishwanath was a member of the Bantwal municipality and member of the CPI State Council.
Communist Party leaders, dignitaries and workers have condemned the death of P Sanjeeva and Vishwanath Nayak.
