Mangaluru: The School of Allied Health Sciences (SOAHS), the second largest amongst the group of institutions under the Manipal Academy of Higher Education in terms of the total number of students on roll, celebrated its 19th Annual and Awards Day at the Dr. T.M.A. Pai auditorium here on February 3.

According to a press release issued by MAHE here on Monday, the event was marked by conferring the Distinguished Alumnus Award, and other prizes to the faculty and students. Thirteen Ph.D awardees from the college over the last one year were also felicitated. Vasuki, a student of the first batch of Speech and Hearing received the Outstanding Alumnus Award for her contribution to her profession and community services for the differently abled children around Salem in Tamil Nadu.

Shivani Tiwari, faculty received Dr. T.M.A Pai Gold Medal for the Best Research Publication.
