Mangaluru: MAPS college, Mangaluru, bagged the overall championship in the ‘AGON 2018,’ the management festival, organised by the Alva’s Institute of Engineering and Technology while Alva’s degree college (BBM Department) were the runners up.
Addressing the students after inaugurating the management festival, UPCL joint president and executive director Kishore Alva said that individual values and corporate ethics should drive a business. He added that human contribution makes a difference between success and failure.
Hence, it is very important to base our organisations on sound traditions and culture, which are driven by ethics.
Kanara Small Industries Association president Gaurav Hegde, who was the chief guest for the valedictory programme, emphasised the need for such festivals to make students placement worthy and good entrepreneurs.
Presiding over the programme, Alva’s Educational Foundation managing trustee Vivek Alva emphasised the need to bring in aspirations and practicality into management festivals.
