Mangalore : A joint meeting of all the effected by the bishop and his associates was held today at jeppu club. Representatives of all the organizations working for the laity rights were present. Leaders of the organisations spoke at the occasion. People everywhere throughout the diocese are facing similar Problems as that of jeppu. Indian Christian service association president Robert Rosario speaking at the occasion explained the clout of the bishop over the system including the judiciary, and his capacity to subvert the system to his advantage. When caught up, he even starts gimicks like church attack to confuse own flock and deviate attention. Therefore, cautioned all against such moves.
United Christian association president Alban Menezess speaking on the occasion extended his whole hearted support to the fight for justice.
Advocate Benedict Noronha who also is the advocate for valerian texeira and victor Pais, had explained the legal position and said that bishop has no title deed, but still claiming his right over the property illegally, only by using his clout. He promised to fight it out in the court of law.
It was unanimously resolved to hold a public meeting of all the effected people and supporters of the cause on Sunday the 25th March 2018, at jeppu ground at 2 pm followed by a procession to bishops house to give representation.
