Mangalore: In a memorandum addressed to DC-DK, Subodh Yadav, signed by Anwar Sa’adat, President of Popular Front of India in DK Dt., today, the PFI requested the district administration not to transfer Amit Kumar Singh, a dedicated and efficient Police Officer from Puttur, to some other place. His next posting is not indicated. PFI pointed out that a propaganda is let loose by Sangha Parivar and his followers against Amit (ASP) when he is only discharging his duties to the extent he can, when saffron leader apply pressure on him to be honest to himself.
The communal and fascist minded Sangha Parivar members were obstructing an honest police officer to do what, they want him to do, the letter stated today. A public rally was held at the DCO gates, addressed by several PFI leaders who spoke against BJP rulers and their “behind the back” tactics of suppressing law and order, to make merry in corruption and easy life, when the police forces toil for the common people who have no protection against rising prices and political witch crafts. Amit Kumar has not been given another post, after transferring him out of Puttur by his administrators, the PFI pointed out in the memorandum. The PFI leaders warned of a larger protest if the letter is ignored.
Haneef TS, Victor D,Souza, PUCL, Mohammae Kakkinje, Hameed Pajeeru, S.P. Ananda Dalitha Sangharshs Samiti were present in the protest rally.
