Bangalore: The Karnataka High Court today refused the bail plea of A.N.Maudany, a Kerala Muslim leader. The People’s Democratic Party Supremo had been arrested in 2008 serial bomb blast case in Bangalore.
Rejecting his bail application, Jutice V.Jagannathan asked him to approach the Supreme Court if necessary, with an appeal. His bail plea had conflicted with national security and was turned down.
Advocate General Ashok Harnahalli, arguing against Moudany petition told the Court that the arrested person was involved in several violent activities in Kerala, apart from serial bomb blast of 2008 (of which he was the master-mind).
An woman was killed and 20 persons were injured in the blasts engineered by him, Ashok stated, and he was arrested on Aug 17 Kerala and lodged in Bangalore Central Jail to answer the charges.
