Mangaluru: “If I get elected, my first preference will be to rename Lighthouse Hill Road to Mulki Sundar Ram Shetty road,” said Mangaluru South Legislative Assembly independent candidate Srikar Prabhu.
He was speaking in Mangaluru after releasing his election manifesto. Since many years I have indulged myself in the service of the people and social service and in future I will aim for the comprehensive development of Mangaluru through people friendly plans. I will give specially attention to providing daily water within three months and complete repair of drainage system in on year, he said.
“On coming to power, I will not give opportunity for unauthorized buildings for any reason. People friendly environment will be created in all the government offices. Good transportation system to be created in Mangaluru within 6 months.
New fully fledged fish market, new play ground, creation of another fully equipped swimming pool, river development, connection of a new connecting road, street lamps to inner roads, importance to road widening, solution to garbage arrangement, creation of a new bus station, 24 hours emergency service counter, creation of a new market, improving government hospital and comprehensive development of Mangaluru,” he informed.
“I have lowered myself into the election area to continue my service to the people since 33 years. For the last 33 years, I have dutifully carried my responsibilities in BJP but during the time of Legislative assembly election, I was made responsible for an unpleasant incident and was expelled without reason of show-cause notice.
Even then, I have helped people who have come to me to the extent that I could. Presently, I am contesting the election to provide a proper stage to provide service to the people. I have aimed to provide service to the people by creating a corruption free Mangaluru, Crime free Mangaluru, good transportation system, clean drinking water and development programmes for poor people. The people have supported me,” he said.
