Belthangady : A woman has lost her life fell into the river due to the heavy rains in Shirlal near Venoor in Beltangady taluk on Saturday afternoon.

The deceased has been identified as Revathi (50) resident of Shirlal. It is suspected to be happens accidentally slipping her leg on the side of the river.

The deceased have three daughters and two sons, two of them are known to be deaf.

Her dead body traced soon after the incident.

Belthangady police have registered a case.
