Moodbidre : The two-day mass placement drive ‘Alva’s Pragati -2018’, organised by Alva’s Education Foundation, provided 1,326 spot offers to job aspirants.
Out of 183 companies which participated in the job fair, 167 companies shortlisted 3,947 candidates for the final round of selection.
The United Arab Emirates-based company UAE Exchange selected 10 candidates. Candidate Rajesh Nayak received a handsome package of Rs 8.5 lakh per annum while the remaining nine candidates were offered Rs 7 lakh package per annum.
SSG Software Systems Private limited offered a package of Rs 7.20 lakh per annum.
Bengaluru-based manufacturing company Switch Gear has offered Rs 4 Lakh per annum for the selected candidates.
Jayaraj Nadar, HR Manager, Human Resources, said, “We at Alembic Pharmaceuticals have been a part of several job fairs across the country. It is the biggest ever job fair that we have attended so far. We are really pleased to find such a huge pool of available good, talented, qualified employable resources from different backgrounds.”
The placement offers included jobs in information technology, marketing, insurance, healthcare, human resource, business process outsourcing, besides teaching professions.
Students sat down for face-to-face interactions with the human resource departments of various corporate houses, counselling, and personality development sessions and on-the-spot shortlisting for jobs.
