Mangaluru: A 20-year-old B.E student from Bengaluru allegedly committed suicide in his flat near his Srinivas engineering college in Valachil, on the outskirts of the city, on Saturday night. The student has been identified as Sharath Babu (20), a resident of Koramangala in Bengaluru.

He was in a 3rd semester electronic and communication branch. He took the extreme step by hanging at his PG flat near the college.

The body has been shifted to Wenlock hospital after following the due procedure.

Parents of the deceased student have been informed about the incident. Reason for the suicide is yet to be ascertained.
